The Oldman.....

After we finished watching the movie in Alamanda, we decided to take a break and doing some chat in Starbucks Coffee inside Alamanda. We ordered several different type of coffee. But one of my friend, Budi, ordered a pure black coffee (without extra cream or milk). In my country, people that drink pure black coffee like that is an old man. So, I said to him,"Budi, you look like an old man drinking a coffee like that", and all my friend's are laughing because of that.

I'm using simile to compare Budi to describe what he's doing is like an old man.

We continue our chat until 6.00PM and after that we're going back to Cyberia.

Who's the Tallest..???

On the way to Alamanda, we reach Putrajaya Central, and we must wait for the bus that will go to Alamanda. When we were waiting for the bus to come, I am with Dimas and Mamet, standing together and ask my friend who is the tallest among us. Pramantha said, "Reyhan is taller than Mamet, Mamet is taller than Dimas, so Reyhan is taller than Dimas and Reyhan is the tallest".

From that sentence I can conclude that Pramantha using argument based on mathematics to describe who is tallest among three of us.

So after the bus come, we take the bus and continue our trip to Alamanda....

Class or No...??

Three days ago, I have Financial Accounting class at 12.00AM, but I feel so dizzy to come to the class. I ask some of my friend if they want to come to the class or no.. When I asked one of my friend, he said he doesn't want to come to the class. When I asked the reason why he doesn't want to come the class, he said,"Last week the lecture didn't come to the class, so if it's ok if I'm not coming to the class now".

From that statement, I know that my friend is using ad populum appeals to spite to argue that he doesn't want to come the class.

But I continue to come to the class, but after I reach the class, the class is canceled, so I return to my apartment..hihihi

It's all about Assignment,,

This afternoon, I want to go to Alamanda to watch the movie with some of my friend. We are already 8 person, but some of my friend that have plan to watch the movie too, cancel the plan. I try to call my friend to come with us and watch the movie in Alamanda, but he say he can't go and when I asked him the reason why he can't come to go with us, he said that, "I have a mountain of assignment that must be submitted on thursday"

After I heard about that, i know that my friend using metaphor to describe amount of assignment that he must finished.

So, we continue to go without him.

A week ago, when I'm doing my lunch, me and my friend are talking about our favourite TV show. My favorite TV show is Extravaganza (Indonesian TV show). When I asked my friend, her name is Ebong, she said she like Entourage so much. Entourage is drama comedy from USA. She like it because she is the fans of the main actor of Entourage, which is Adrian Grenier. She said,"Isn't Adrian Grenier handsome..??", and I said to her if I said Adrian Grenier is handsome, so I'm GAY,hihihiihi, and everyone laughing..

From what Ebong said, I know that she is using Leading Question to asked me a question about Adrian Grenier.

RAM=Kitchen Table

A week ago, my roomate, Ramaditya, asked Pramantha to help him change the anti-virus of his laptop because he already buy the new anti-virus which is Kaspersky 2009. After Pramantha finished help Ramaditya to installing the new anti-virus, Pramantha suggest Ramaditya to improved his RAM and Hardiskdrive. Ramaditya asked the reason why he must improved that part and Pramantha answer with a statement,"With Laptop you can think of the RAM as like a kitchen table where you work and the hard drive as a cabinet out in the garage. Anything that won't fit on the kitchen table has to stay in the cabinet in the garage. The kitchen table is the only place you can work. If the table is full and you need a different part or a different tool for your project you have to take something off the kitchen table and take it to the cabinet and get the other part or tool out of the cabinet. More RAM is like a larger kitchen table. You don't have to go to the garage as often which is good because going to the garage really slows down the project. and after that the conversation is make me think I should improved my RAM to get bettter performance. After I heard about that, I know that Pramantha is using simile to give more description to Ramaditya.

Movie....OH NO..............

This morning, I watched the movie, it is a romantic movie, the title is "A Walk to Remember". I already watched this movie for more than three times, because I think this movie has a great story and we can feel the emotion and sadness by watching this movie, and I love this movie because the main actress is one of my favorite actress, which is Mandy Moore. This movie is about the man that love a woman, but the woman have a cancer, so the woman have to leave the man forever (die) because of her sickness. Before the woman die, the man said that he will love her forever and will love her until the end of time. That statement makes me speechless and make most of my friend crying. hihihi

From that sentence, I know it is a Vague Arguments because it can explain when will the end of the time, and until when is forever.

The Tears....

Yesterday, I've met my old friend from Saudi Arabia, we are friend since I'm still in Melaka doing my Foundation studies. We talked a lot of thing's, about his family, his life and especially his love life. He shared to me about her girlfriend, he said that his girlfriend has cheating on him more than once and he knew that by looking it himself and with his own eyes. He said that,"If you see me crying, you will see a flood of tears". After he say that, I tried to make him happy by change our topic of chat into funny chat and after we finished talking, he is going back to Melaka.

From that sentence, I know that my friend are using metaphors to describe how much the sadness that he feel when he see his girlfriend cheating on him.

It's all about MONEY...

Last month, before it entered August, I have no money left in my wallet or my ATM, most of my friend at the of the month doesn't have money either. If I'm not forgot, that day I want to buy some Chicken Rice in the Hostel (delidelphia). When I want to pay, i checked my wallet, and only 2 RM left. Hopefully there is my friend Adit that bought a food too. So, I said to Adit, "Dit, please lend me some money, i haven't eat since the morning, and my parent's haven't send me my monthly money." He just laughing and lend me 10 RM, hehehe

To persuade Adit, I am using ad populum appeals to pity.

And after my parents send me a monthly money, i just pay the amount that I borrow from Adit, hehehehe

Again...ASSIGNMENT...

Two days ago, before I submitted my Preparatory Management English Assignment(Magazine Assignment), that magazine hasn't printed yet. The data that need to printed is on my friend Ian. I told him to print that magazine because I need to submit that on Thursday. Ian told me that Dika, another member of my group is have the data with him to print, but Ian don't know where is Dika going. He said,"Dika either go to eat in IndoCafe or he go to KL, but Dika is not going to KL, therefore he go to eat in IndoCafe."

From what Ian said, i know that he is using argument with elimination to give description where is Dika going to...

Lunch Chit Chat...

This afternoon, after I finished my Friday pray (Shalat Jum'at), I just straight go to the Hostel inside the campus to eat my lunch with my friend Adit, Riswin, Jaja, and Dafy. When we were eating, we talked about the Fasting Month (Ramadhan) that will be coming at 1st September 2008. When we talked about that, Jaja said that it's so nice to do a fasting, because when we fasting, we won't feel very hungry because the time will goes by very fast, especially if we are sleeping and Dafy said, "Everyone will sleep like a death person, so hard to wake up," and everyone laughing.

From that, i know that Dafy is using simile to compare the sleeping behavior like a death person.

And after we eating, everyone goes to his own apartment......

Sleeping until the End...Hihihihi

Yesterday, I can't sleep at the night, because I already sleep in the evening (hehehe). In the mean time, I played Playstation (which is belong to Pramantha too,hihihi) until 3 AM, I played Ninja Gaiden Games, it's about a ninja,his name is Ryu Hayabusa, that want to revenge to Doku, which has destroyed Hayabusa Village and took the secret treasure of Hayabusa's Village. As far as I can remember, I played this game until Chapter 9, and this chapter is so hard to accomplished, so I decided to continue the next day (which is today).

Before I sleep, I set the alarm for me to wake up on 06.30AM in the morning so I can pray (Shalat Subuh).

But, I didn't wake up, I cannot hear the ring of my alarm, so I oversplept and I wake up at 09.00. After I wake up, i remember that I didn't pray (Shalat Subuh)

So from that "incident", i know there are cause and effect happen,which is I overslept so I forgot to pray.

Maybe I should sleep early, so i didn't forget to pray in the morning. Hehehe

Always Television....

When I arrived at my apartment, i just sleep at the carpet in my room and i turn the TV on. That TV was belong to my roomate Pramantha. When i turn on the TV, I watched the show, but i don't know what kind of show that is. But from the TV, I heard someone in the show said, "Hey, lambat macam siput laaa", and I straight laughing by hearing that sound. I know what the meaning of "lambat macam siput" which is ,"it's slow like a snail". I know the meaning of that sentence because i know a little bit about Malaysian language (it's not too different from Indonesian language).

From that, i know that person using simile to compare something that so slow to become like a snail.

I don't know why, when i hear that sentence I just straightly laughing and after I finished watching TV, I just straight go to sleep (hehehehe)

Wild Run...

This evening, after I came back from the campus, I just straight going back to my apartment, because I feel so tired after submitting my Magazine assignment to FCM building where Madame Parameswari, my Preparatory Management English lecture room located. I feel so tired because I forgot to bring my pen and a paper to write my group name, so I have to go back to bookstore to buy a pen and borrow some paper. But, after I reach the bookstore, that bookstore is currently under maintenance or i don't know exactly what happen to the bookstore (hihihi). So, I tried to find someone that i know around the FCM building. Hopefully i met Mamat my housemate. When I approached him, he said to me, "Why are running so fast like a hungry dog?"

From that sentence, I know that Mamat using simile to compared me like a hungry dog because I was running so fast and no direction, hehehehe.

So after I met him, he lend me a pen and a piece of paper and after that I straight go to Madame Parameswari room in FCM building to submit my Magazine assignment.

Never Ending Exam...

When i was eating my lunch with my classmate this afternoon, my friend, Bram told me that he will have Marketing midterm exam on Friday, 29 August 2008. He told me that this subject is so hard to understand and to remind all the things that will appear in the exam. This Marketing exam will cover 9 chapter from chapter 1 until 9. So he must study very hard to face this exam. He said, " if I failed this midterm exam, i will get low mark,i will get a low GPA, and i cannot finished my study and I will be a poor person" and then he laughing, and all my friends are laughing too. Hehehe

From that sentence, i can conclude that Bram using ad populum appeals to indirect sequences in his statement.

And hopefully i didn't take Marketing subject this trimester, or i will be stress too....hihihi

ASSIGNMENT AGAIN...AND AGAIN....

Yesterday, my friend Anna Tamara, told me to finish my Management Group Assignment. She said that, our group will present for Management group presentation next week. That day, i feel so tired and so bored to do an assignment, but Anna keep persuade me to do my assignment. She said,"Reyhan, you're smart, kind, and diligent, please finish your assignment today."

From that sentence, i can conclude that Anna using ad populum appeals to vanity to persuade me to finished my assignment.
